ProjectGate (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and your choices when you use our mobile application (“App”) and website.
1) Information We Collect
We collect limited information to operate the App and improve it:
A) App usage analytics (Firebase Analytics)
We collect analytics events related to how the App is used, such as:
selected topics and preferences
whether notifications were enabled/disabled
interactions like saving an event or clicking an event link
general usage patterns (screens viewed, feature usage)
This helps us understand what features are useful and improve the App.
B) Push notification data (OneSignal)
If you enable notifications, we process a device push token and related technical identifiers needed to deliver push notifications (deadline alerts, new CFP alerts). Push tokens do not directly identify you by name.
C) Technical information
We may collect basic technical information such as device type, OS version, app version, language, and approximate region (derived from system settings). This helps ensure compatibility and troubleshoot issues.
We do not require an account and we do not collect your name or email address to use the App.
2) How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
provide and deliver notification alerts you request (deadlines / new CFPs)
improve app performance and user experience
monitor stability, troubleshoot errors, and prevent abuse
understand aggregated usage trends (analytics)
3) Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with service providers that help us operate the App:
Firebase Analytics (Google) for aggregated analytics and measurement
OneSignal to deliver push notifications
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy/security practices.
4) Data Retention
We keep analytics and notification-related data only for as long as needed to:
operate the App
analyze performance and usage trends
improve reliability and quality
We periodically review and minimize stored data.
5) Your Choices
Notifications: You can enable/disable push notifications at any time in your device settings (and within the App if available).
Analytics: Analytics data is used in aggregated form to improve the App.
Delete/Request: You may request deletion of data associated with your device identifiers by contacting us (see Section 8).
